At the Dorca Welfare Mission

My name is Eun-young Oh.

I'm a very lucky person. My parents taught me many valuable lessons when I was growing up. One lesson was that happiness must be shared. I have always done my best with others. I try to share with young, with the old and people less fortunate than myself. Sharing makes me happy.

Dorca Welfare Mission

One of the places where I volunteer is here. I try to brighten these peoples lives and help them. Sometimes I think they are the ones who are helping me. We have so much to learn from all these people. Just being with them makes me happy.

Dobong Women's Centre People often say that youth are the hope of tomorrow. I believe that's true, so I spend time with children from low income families. The children's families can't afford proper school, so I try to help them, to create a better future for all.

Korea Food for the Hungry International Working at the Givers Mart, sorting donations and putting them on display. If the products aren't displayed well, no-one will buy them. As a fashion design major, I display the products in the best possible way. It's nice to find a practical use for my major and be able to help people at the same time.

It is not easy helping others, but I love knowing that I've improved people's lives. Even helping just one person brings a smile to my face.
