| Miss Korea, Lee Seong-hye, along with the other Korean finalists visited children’s day centre, Woorinuri, in Seoul, Korea. The day centre acts as a refuge for under-privileged children by providing after-school activities and lessons until they are able to return home at night. Many of the children at Woorinuri are from very poor families and live in houses where they are unable to study or play, so the centre provides a safe and learned environment. The centre aims to equip children with the basic skills needed to better their future which includes teaching English lessons to children of different proficiency. As the children remain at Woorinuri until late, Lee and her fellow contestants cooked traditional Korean dish, Kimchi, for the children to take home. |
