Alexandra Grace-Scott, one of the Miss New Zealand 2011 contestants decided to take action into her own hands when NZ$70 was stolen from her charity collection bucket. New Zealand Asia Pacific Trust (NZAPT) helped Alexandra organise ‘The Least We Can Do Charity Event’ with famous performances and fellow Miss World New Zealand contestants showing their support.

On Saturday 19th March, the Penthouse, Hilton Hotel, Auckland, hosted the event with items donated to be auctioned off. “’The least we could do’,  is support our friends and our families of Christchurch for a special evening, to raise much needed funding and supplies for the Orphaned and disadvantaged children suffering needlessly in the grief struck region of Christchurch” said Alexandra.

The whole evening was a success in which over NZ$20,000 was raised for this fantastic cause.

Well done Alexandra.
