As a former Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA) heptathlon silver medalist, representing her country at international Track & Field competitions, Miss Bahamas Sasha Joyce is familiar with hard work and the world of sport.

Since crowned Miss World Bahamas on the 1st May 2011, Sasha Joyce has been working closely with her Beauty With A Purpose charity, The Special Olympics Bahamas.

Sasha actively participated in the charity’s Special Olympics Championship held at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium in Bahamas by encouraging and supporting the athletes throughout the day. Her presence was greatly appreciated by both the Special Olympics organisers and those helped by the work of the charity.

Miss Bahamas also organised a “souse-out” which involved serving the Bahamian soup dish, souse, on the grounds of Phil’s Food Services to raise funds for the charity.
